Casal Frades‘ is a brand that sends us to its origins, because it is the name of the old farm, where is now the ‘Adega de Ourém‘.

At the beginning, this brand was created for a restricted circle of consumers. However, the success of this wine surprised all and lead to its consumption growth, and can be found in red, white or rosé.

RED

Organoleptic characteristics

It has a deep rubi colour which reveals a young and exuberant wine, produced so that it can be consumed from now. Versatile, this wine is sweet and has a final soft and elegant, which turns it into an excellent choice for daily consumption, offering to the consumer an excellent quality / price ratio.

Wine-making process

It is produced by the traditional fermentation method in stainless steel vats, after crushing and total destemming, and with a temperature that goes around 28°C. Maceration within 8 days. Following by the malolactic fermentation, stabilisation and stage in stainless steel vats.

Suggestion

Great choice to go along with meats and smoked meats, birds, pastas and cheeses. Should be served between 16° and l8°C, in propre glasses.

Storage

Keep the bottle lying down, far from light.

WHITE

Organoleptic characteristics

It has a limpid aspect with citrus shiny colour. With floral notes and citrus flavours, this is a young wine, enveloping and smooth in the mouth that should be consumed while young.

Wine-making process

A smooth destemming, crushing and pressing let the must be removed and selected which has been claryfied until the limpidity level desired was reached. After that and during 15 days, came the fermentation in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, between 1 to l8°C.

Suggestion

This is a wine with great gastronomic aptitude that should be served between 10° and l2°C, and it goes along with fish dishes, white meats or salads, in propre glasses.

Storage

Keep the bottle lying down, in a cool and dry place, far from light.
